Formby Golf Club hosts a number of Open Competitions throughout the year including the famous ‘Formby Hare’.

Sunday May 18th 2025 - Formby Hare

The Formby Hare is an elite amateur scratch competition played over 36-holes. Players taking part in Formby Hare an S&A Bowl will compete for the Lancashire Links Trophy which is a 72-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking event.

The 2025 Formby Hare took place on Sunday 18 ^th May, this was the 76 ^th staging of the competition.

Monday August 11th 2025 - Junior Mixed Open

Formby’s Junior Open will take place on Monday August 11th 2025 with registrations now open.
